Episode 218: Krakoa Post-Mortem

A new era of X-Men is upon us! And in order to get there, we must put the Krakoa era firmly to bed. Ian, Brent, Brandon and Raph are joined by a resident X-pert, Corwin Crowl of Earth’s Mightiest Podcast and its sister podcast EMX, to explain as much of this long-running storyline as we can, including what Krakoa is, how many different Krakoas there were, and what it eventually became. Did it conclude the way we wanted, and are we anticipating what’s to come? How many Beasts are there? Did Xavier ever take off the helmet, even to shower? Listen in and find out, bub. Spoilers ahoy, especially for X-Men #700, so be warned!

Comic Timing Episode 214: Sirens, Cornsweat and Trains, Oh My!

Ian and Brent got to record in person in Florida over Christmas break, and here is the glorious result. Topics include Brent’s thoughts on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, combined conversation on The Marvels, Blue Beetle, the burial of Comixology, trains passing by, David Corensweat and James Gunn’s Superman Legacy to come, and so much more. Earmuffs as always with these, as there is the occasional off-color comment or language that comes with two friends communing in a park for a podcast. Like you do. Enjoy, and Happy 2024 all!

It’s been a few weeks since Brent and Ian got to talk, so they rectify that in this two-man episode! Batman Eternal, Futures End, New Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, Sex Criminals, SEX, and a few other books are on the docket. Finally, they touch on New York Comic Con’s quick sellout of tickets, and what that might mean for the future of comic book conventions. Give it a listen!
