Comic Timing Episode 219: June 2024 Previews

Not a hoax! Plenty of imaginary stories! And some based on real life, as is the nature of comic books, of course. A labor of love we hope to bring you once a month, as long as we are able to do so. We know a bunch of you were missing this, and so were we, and why disappoint anyone?

This edition of Previews covers all June 2024 solicitations, with books mainly set for August 2024 release. Catalogs covered include Image Catalog Issue 12, DC Connect issue 49, Marvel Previews Vol 6 issue 33, and Diamond Previews issue 429. Highlights include the return of Uncanny X-Men and X-Factor, Star Trek’s 500th IDW issue, a new BRZRKR miniseries, Bendis’ return to Fortune and Glory for Fortune and Glory: The Musical, Tom King’s Archie: The Decision, Masters of the Universe/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles of Greyskull, Kosher Mafia out of Mad Cave Studios, and so much more. Episode 218: Krakoa Post-Mortem

A new era of X-Men is upon us! And in order to get there, we must put the Krakoa era firmly to bed. Ian, Brent, Brandon and Raph are joined by a resident X-pert, Corwin Crowl of Earth’s Mightiest Podcast and its sister podcast EMX, to explain as much of this long-running storyline as we can, including what Krakoa is, how many different Krakoas there were, and what it eventually became. Did it conclude the way we wanted, and are we anticipating what’s to come? How many Beasts are there? Did Xavier ever take off the helmet, even to shower? Listen in and find out, bub. Spoilers ahoy, especially for X-Men #700, so be warned!
