Comic Timing Episode 219: June 2024 Previews

Not a hoax! Plenty of imaginary stories! And some based on real life, as is the nature of comic books, of course. A labor of love we hope to bring you once a month, as long as we are able to do so. We know a bunch of you were missing this, and so were we, and why disappoint anyone?

This edition of Previews covers all June 2024 solicitations, with books mainly set for August 2024 release. Catalogs covered include Image Catalog Issue 12, DC Connect issue 49, Marvel Previews Vol 6 issue 33, and Diamond Previews issue 429. Comic Timing – Episode 202: Igle Illustrates the Industry

Our second episode of the Social Distancing Era is now out, as Ian, Brent, Brandon and Kris are joined by longtime friend of the show, and artist extraordinaire, Jamal Igle! Jamal brings his wealth of knowledge on the comics industry to the table here, as the crew discuss the current state of things, including changes in distribution, the rise of digital, Lunar Distributors and UCS Distributors and how much of a challenge they actually are for Diamond, what readership numbers and sales revenue really looks like in today’s world, and a whole lot more. And oh, we also discuss pasta extraordinaire, and soon to be Batman Robert Pattinson, and his choice to not work out while quarantined. That too.

You can e-mail the show at comictiming@gmail.com and be sure to Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/ComicTiming. Please do follow Jamal Igle‘s various endeavors on Twitter and Instagram, and if you haven’t already read The Wrong Earth Volume 1, it is now available both digitally and physically, so make that happen.
